Dear Hastings Car Club Inc:
On behalf of all the kids of Great Lakes burn Camp, we would like to thank you for the donation of $500 made to sponsor our Summer and Winter Burn Camp programs.

Great Lakes Burn Camp, Inc. has been providing a positive camping experience for burn-injured children since 1995. Great lakes burn camp is an organization which provides a Summer camp session for up to 120 burn-injured children and a Winter session for up to 70 children, age 7-17, at no cost to the children or their families. Children from all over Michigan and the Great lakes region attend Summer camp at a private campground in Kalamazoo, Michigan where they can enjoy all the normal camp activities such as swimming, kayaking, hiking, archery, and arts and crafts with no intrusive stares from other children and adults. Aside from these courses, the campers complete self-esteem building objectives such as the high ropes course, water skiing and swim lessons. Our program also includes such activities as a parade to camp, canoeing, games, fishing, sports, a dance, and to end the week, a professional fireworks display across the lake. It is very important for these special kids to have a place to bond, play, and share their stories and experiences with other children like themselves. The mission of Great Lakes Burn Camp is to provide a fun and safe environment where a burn injured child can “just be a kid.”

We have completed our 12th annual Summer Camp session, which was a tremendous success. We have had former campers complete our Leadership Program and return to camp as Counselors. Each year, we have been able to expand and improve our camp programs and self-esteem building courses for our campers. We have also expanded our Outreach Programs, which provide information and help to families of burn survivors. And, we have established a scholarship program for our past campers who attend college or a trade school. None of this would be possible with our the generous and loyal support of our sponsors.

We sincerely appreciate your support and confidence in our efforts.

Sincerely,
Sharon Roman

Dear Bob and the Hastings Car Club,
Thank you for your recent contribution of $500.00 to the Hastings Public Library's "Last Chapter" Building Campaign.

Your gift is very important to the success of the campaign. I look forward to the opening of a new library that will create the kind of comfortable atmosphere and updated technology that will encourage all community members to take advantage of its many services and programs. Your gift puts us that much closer to the new library becoming a reality.

Thank you again for your generosity and commitment to the Hastings community.
