The Hastings Car Club is a family-oriented independent club incorporated in 1991 by a small group of people in West Michigan, whose objective is to promote interest in various forms of classic car activities.
We sponsor a Car Show in downtown Hastings held on the last Sunday in August in conjunction with the Hastings Summerfest Celebration.
We usually have between 250 and 300 entrants, depending on the weather. For 2007 we have 33 classes and 38 trophies, dash plaques to the first 300 and door prizes, we also sponsor a kids parade down the center of the show. All proceeds are donated to local kids programs.
The Car Club also sponsors 5 Cruise-In's in the Hastings K-Mart parking lot the second Saturday from May to September, attendance varies according to the weather, but we have had up to 50 cars attend.
Please come visit us in person and enjoy the days activities with us.
Any person or persons and family, 18 years or older, are eligible for membership. The following type vehicles are recognized for membership: Street Rods, Customs, Classics, Street Machines, Trucks and Sport Compacts. Vehicles may be altered, built, or changed in such a way to create interest; or they may be stock, non-altered.
Annual Dues are $24.00 (for member and spouse).
The mission of the Hastings Car Club, Inc., according to the Articles of Incorporation, is to promote the sport and hobby of owning, altering, building and modifying automobiles of past years; encourage family participation in such sport and hobby; and to promote friendship, support and organization for such functions held by the club and others of similar interest; and to educate the public concerning the history, legend, repair, building and modifying of automobiles of prior years.
